Our ‘After Hours’ drop-in session is held at Time & Tide Museum Great Yarmouth led by youth arts network Creative Collisions. It’s a place where young creatives can gain support with their own creative interests, take inspiration from the museum collections and work towards an Arts Award.
We are particularly keen to support young people aged 14-24 who aren’t currently in education or work, don’t usually go to groups, or need a little bit of extra support. Gaining an Arts Award gives young people a focus to explore their artistic and creative ideas, whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
The session time can be used in a flexible way and is guided by the young person’s own creative interest. The art-forms explored could be anything from fashion and textiles, to writing, music or painting. We have access to the Time and Tide Museum galleries and collections, plus can lead creative workshops such as printmaking and photography. We also sign-post and guide young people to explore artistic activities in the local community and within our wider Creative Collisions network.
If you support a young people who may be suitable for the group, get in touch with Tricia by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
